LAST MINUTE EXAM TIPS FOR AIEEE - IIT JEE
(1) Read CAREFULLY the question. Before you start doing any computation, answer the question: «What am I looking for?»
(2) Do NOT panic! If a question looks really hard, then most likely:
a. There is a trick!
b. You just need to break down the problem into smaller ones.
(3) As you go, check that your answers:
a. Are easy to see. (a box is rarely a bad idea)
b. Answer the question the problem asks.
c. Make sense.
d. Do not contradict each other.
(1 Do not make up your own integration rules. (especially we have no way to integrate a product of functions!)
(2 If you have extra time at the end, go back and make things look pretty:
a. Simplify.
b. Make extra checks:i. is the sign right?ii. can I plug things back in?iii. does the math match up with the story problem?
